Spring is Coming | blue and white off the shoulder top

Happy Wednesday! There’s less than one month left until it’s finally officially spring! This warmer weather we’ve been having has seriously made me so excited.

Also, give me ALL of the off the shoulder tops. It’s obvious that I’ve been loving this trend. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, they are so flattering. Everyone I’ve seen in one has just looked great in it. That’s my favorite kind of style trend – when something is inclusive and really flatters and highlights all shapes, sizes and builds.

Okay, enough with my obsession with OTS pieces…on to blue and white.

I’ve always loved the classic combination of these colors, and originally I thought I’d pair this top with white jeans (which I think would look great, too), but I liked how casual the blue jeans made it.

Pairing it with these wedges (which I love with SO many things) takes it back up a notch. Seriously these shoes have been sold out over and over and they’re back in stock, but I’m betting it won’t last long. I always have a go-to wedge every spring and summer, and I already know this is going to be it. They have a little more ‘oomph’ than my usual picks, too, so I’m excited about pairing them with a lot of things.

What are the pieces or trends that you’re most excited about for spring? I really just love everything about these next few months for fashion. All of the dresses and pretty tops, the florals and stripes, the pastels.

Don’t get me wrong, I love winter, too. But, this girl is READY for some more sunshine.

I hope you have a great day!

All my love!

Hi, there! It’s our one month blogiversary!

I absolutely can’t believe it’s already been one month since the launch of this blog! This has been such an amazing experience already, and I’m so excited about what the future holds. This is something I have wanted for so long, and I am thankful to God for making it happen.

I know that this is a blessing and calling from Him, and I pray that it can be something that brings positivity and light.

Whether this is your first visit or you’ve checked in from the beginning, thank you. I can’t say enough how much I appreciate each person who takes the time to read and see the outfits and photos that I’ve put so much love and thought into.

Please let me know in the comments or on social media what you would like to see more of or maybe even new topics to be explored or questions you would like answered!

As for the YouTube channel, it is coming very soon! I’m learning and researching all about how to take xo, chelsea catherine into the video content space. I’m so ready to share what I’ve been working on!

I hope you have a great Tuesday!

Happy Monday – and Happy President’s Day!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Cody and I spent most of it in Nashville, and the weather was so good! It was sunny and 75 – my perfect day! It was nice to just hang out together. We ended the weekend with a Target run last night that was just supposed to be one thing…but you know how that goes. haha!

Are you off for today’s holiday? I plan to celebrate by catching up on Scandal with President Fitzgerald Grant. We have zoomed through this series, and we’re currently on season five. We’ll probably be all caught up soon and be able to just watch week-to-week. That will be much less life-consuming than binge watching on Netflix!

THIS DRESS. I’ve been looking for a simple, black wrap dress for so long. I thought it would be perfect and flattering for so many occasions. Surprisingly though, it was pretty hard to find a non-print, simple black one. Finally, I came across this one!

I think it will get so much use, I’ve already worn it twice and only had it for a week or so! haha. So, I know it will quickly become a go-to piece. It’s also perfect for a capsule wardrobe or if you’re going on a trip, because it will go with whatever else you pack and looks great with heels and flats both!

I kept it neutral with accessories here, but a fun pop of color would look great, too – either with shoes or a purse. For night, this would look great with a bold lip!

I am SO excited for this week’s blog posts. Tomorrow, we’re celebrating ONE MONTH of xo, chelsea catherine, and everyone’s invited, of course! 🙂

I hope you have a great rest of your day and a happy start to your week!

Happy, happy Friday, friends!

I hope you have had a great week! It’s been a good one for me – Cody and I spent Valentine’s Day in Nashville, and I got to see some friends while there. I absolutely love that city, so any chance we get to go visit for a while is always welcomed!

I got to do a shoot with one of my favorite photographers on Wednesday, too! So, I’m pumped about some of the posts I’ve got coming up in the next few weeks! 🙂

Now – about this dress. I. MEAN. How can you beat this price? You just can’t. It’s silky, too. So, it’s not like you got just some cheap dress – it’s great quality, soft and super comfortable!

I’m all about these flow-y dresses because they’re flattering (and off-the-shoulder makes it even more so) and you can dress them up with heels or wedges or down with a sandal or flat!

In other (maybe random) news, did you know Golden Girls is now on Hulu?! I absolutely love that show! Growing up, I watched the reruns and now I’ve started the series from the beginning on there. I love shows that are funny like that without being too…raunchy. haha.

I hope you have a great weekend! It’s a nice, long one for some people! The weather here is supposed to be a little warmer, too. I have been craving a beach trip so badly, but I just don’t think it’s going to happen anytime soon. I could settle for a little sunny and 75 here in Tennessee, though!

We’re actually going back to Nashville on Sunday to get my hair done! I’m so excited. I’m planning to do a post very soon all about my hair, which products I love, how I curl/style it, etc. If you have any specific questions, let me know in the comments or on instagram! 🙂

All my love!

work week neutrals | how to take business casual to business cute

work week neutrals work week neutrals work week neutrals work week neutrals work week neutrals work week neutrals work week neutrals work week neutrals work week neutrals

Happy Monday! Per usual, the weekend flew by and here we are downing cups of coffee on Monday morning.

One of my new goals for the year is to set weekly goals each Sunday night. So, last night I did that and, honestly, it felt great. Not only did I set goals for the week, but I listed things and people in my life that I’m thankful for. I count my blessings often, but doing it along with setting my goals made a big difference. I felt not only motivated, but thankful.

This week I’m excited to be going on a little bit of a getaway with Cody. This is our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple, and he’s got some plans for us that he’s kept a secret, so I honestly don’t know what we’re doing! I’m excited to see what he’s got schemed up!

I hope everyone has a great start to the week!

gift guide for him | what to get your favorite guy for Valentine’s Day 2017

valentine's day gift guide for him

1. True Grit Sweater | 2. Nikes | 3. Gucci Tie | 4. Watch | 5. Designer Wallet | 6. Dress Shoes | 7. Cologne | 8. Clarisonic | 9. Zip-Up Sweater

Happy Friday! I hope you have had a great week! I am so excited for the weekend. I’m hoping it’s going to be a pretty laid-back one for us! We’re going to be celebrating Valentine’s Day next Monday and Tuesday – because why not? So, we’ll probably just watch Scandal all weekend! haha

If you haven’t gotten your special guy a Valentine’s gift yet, it’s not too late! These are go-to gifts that are quality – he deserves to feel luxurious, too! 😉

I hope this gift guide for him helps if you’re undecided about what to get!

There can be so much pressure on Valentine’s Day to do and get just the right thing, and that can just make it unenjoyable for everyone. Remember the whole reason behind getting him something is to make him feel special and cared for, too, so gifts definitely aren’t the only way to do that! I just think it’s nice to give something that he’ll get use of and will make him happy. 🙂

All my love!

velvet pink duster | casual valentine’s day date look

velvet pink duster jacket velvet pink duster jacket velvet pink duster jacket velvet pink duster jacket velvet pink duster jacket velvet pink duster jacket velvet pink duster jacket velvet pink duster jacketI’m obsessed with all things pink, so you know when I found this velvet pink duster jacket I was ALL about it! I ordered it a while back, but it’s actually still in stock but selling out quickly in this color!

It’s super affordable and takes any plain black dress up a notch while still keeping it casual. I think this would be perfect if you’re planning a day-date for Valentine’s Day! Cody and I are big fans of day dates! Some of our favorites are starting our day by getting some coffee or going to breakfast then shopping together, or simply riding around exploring, maybe having a picnic, even!

I paired it with my go-to flat black boots that I have LOVED this winter. It’s actually still pretty chilly in Tennessee, so I know I’ll be able to get more wear out of them before I completely switch to spring clothing! I’m so excited for warmer weather soon!

This duster jacket is definitely something that could transition an outfit from winter to early spring! It’s warm without being too bulky and it’s on trend but still a classic piece.

I hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

All my love!

winter skincare favorites | products keeping my skin hydrated and clear!

winter skincare favoriteswinter skincare favorites winter skincare favorites winter skincare favorites winter skincare favorites winter skincare favorites winter skincare favorites winter skincare favorites winter skincare favorites

Happy Monday! I hope you’re having a good day so far! Winter is rough on my skin, which is dry pretty much year round, but especially in the colder months! So, these winter skincare favorites have really kept it under control lately.

I use all of these products on a very regular basis – most of them daily, except for the sheet masks and the bouncy mask (which I use a couple of times per week).

Sheet Mask

This sheet mask is a part of a three pack that I absolutely love! This one has to be my favorite, though. It just replenishes my skin and leaves it feeling soothed and looking bright. I definitely needed this after a weekend of not-so-great eating (thanks, super bowl). The others in this pack are really great, too!

Five-In-One Bouncy Mask

THIS. MASK. IS. AMAZING. I don’t know what else to say. It’s a game-changer. I really like to use this before I take pictures. It makes my skin bright and fills in any fine lines I have. Fortunately, my skin is not acne prone, so this is the only mask I use on a very regular basis. It’s gentle enough to use a few times a week!

Soothing and Relaxing Patches

I picked these up right before we came home from Paris, and they were perfect for the plane ride home. I have dark circles and fine lines in my under eye area, and these really help to sooth and fill in what I need it to. Highly recommend!

Moisturizing Toner

I’ve been using this toner for a couple of years after my mother and law gave me a bottle for Christmas. She’s been using it for a long time and has always loved it, and now, so do I! I don’t like harsh toners, and this one leaves my skin feeling hydrated but also takes off any makeup that my cleanser might have left behind!

Creme Cleanser

Which brings me to cleanser…This one is so good! I love the way it smells and it lathers up so I know it’s working. (haha! I like to know that it’s getting clean!) I’ve used a lot of different cleansers, but this one is one I keep coming back to.

Eye Creme

I’ve got some pretty dark circles, and I have tried SO many things to get them to lighten. I know that it helps to keep them very moisturized, so by drinking tons of water and putting this on in the morning and night. I’ve been using it for a couple of months and it’s definitely been helping!

Revitalizing Moisturizer

I love Estée Lauder! This is the first time I’ve tried this moisturizer, but I’ve tried several others they have. This one is definitely my favorite. I am in my early twenties, but I strongly believe that it’s never too early to start using an anti-aging regimen!

Eucalyptus Lip Moisturizer

I’m obsessed with this lip moisturizer! I apply it very generously before bed, and when I wake up I can still feel it on my lips! I love it, and this is one product I just keep buying! As a bonus, it smells awesome, too!

I hope this helps if you’ve been thinking about changing up your skincare routine or maybe just need to add an extra step to keep your skin hydrated for the winter!

What are some of your winter skincare favorites? Or, have you tried any of these out, let me know what you think!
All my love!
