Sharing a major life update plus some of my current beauty, lifestyle and fashion favorites!
Woah! I can’t tell you how happy I am to be sitting back at my computer to write this blog post.

Today we’re talking my recent favorites, but I also have to catch you up on where the heck I’ve been and what’s going on in my life currently.

So, if you follow me on instagram, you already know. But, if not, the big recent news is WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!

After months of trying to decide whether to build or buy a home, we found the perfect house for us. We walked in and immediately had a peace that this was where we were supposed to be.

I honestly haven’t ever had that feeling about anything so strongly other than knowing that Cody was the person I was supposed to marry. I don’t even know how to describe it other than we just knew.

I know that sounds so cliche, but we just looked at each other and got goosebumps and were so excited!

I’m planning a full home tour for YouTube! (finally!!) So, if you want to see the entire home before we really get started renovating and changing too much, stay tuned for that!

(also, for some sneak peaks in my insta-stories and on snapchat!)

It’s definitely a fixer upper, but it has the best layout and is structurally so well built. It’s definitely got a lot of room for us to grow (but, no babies just yet 😉 ).

It sits on quite a bit of land, which, here in Tennessee, is really something that is important. We know it’s going to take a LOT of getting used to doing all the yard work it will take to keep up, but we’re actually pretty excited about it.

We have a lot of updating planned, but we’re really trying to take it piece-by-piece so that we don’t get too overwhelmed too quickly (plus, we have to be budget conscious!).

So, if you have done renovations and remodeling before and want to share some tips with us, we would LOVE that! Just leave them here in the comments.

Now! On to favorites!

1.\\

I had been stocking up on this candle since it was released for fall knowing that I would want to burn them everywhere in our new house.

It smells SO good, and I actually burn it right up until Thanksgiving, so they’re still available, and if you haven’t checked them out yet – I know I’ve mentioned them before – you should RUN to your local Bath + Body Works and sniff them.

2.\\

One of my favorite ways to relax is to watch YouTube videos. Even, if I’m doing something else around the house, I love to just have them talking in the background. lol, anybody else?

So, I’ve been watching Zoella on YouTube seriously FOREVER. But, I recently subscribed to her boyfriend’s channel, too, and now his videos are the first ones I play when I get on to watch videos.

He is SO positive and upbeat, and his videos just make me feel like I can take on whatever the day throws at me! haha. So, really, if you are looking for someone new to subscribe to, I highly recommend his channel!

**just a quick note on my YouTube channel – now that we are in the new house, I am finally ready to start making videos. Please leave me some suggestions for what you would like to see and subscribe to my channel!

Another favorite of life, not just recent, is matching pajama sets. I don’t know why I am so obsessed with looking like an American Girl Doll when I go to sleep at night, lol, but, it’s seriously one of my greatest joys to find another pair of solid comfy pajamas that are in a set.

So, if you are like me and you share that obsession, these are SO cute.

I’ve narrowed it down to three favorites: a red pair, Christmas cats (lol) and a black set.

These over-the-knee boots have not left my feet in a really long time. They go with everything, and for the amount you’ll be able to wear them, they’re a great price!

Fall (especially November) is the best because it’s finally time to break out the sweaters and not sweat profusely.

I have been wearing this one so much, and even though it’s sold out, I found this one here for a great price and it is almost exactly the same.

I love this time of year for makeup, too. It’s finally cooled down enough that all my hard work on my makeup won’t just melt right off as soon as I go outside.

This foundation is SO reasonably priced and it has a great natural finish while still giving good coverage.

I do recommend setting it with translucent or face powder if you’re on the oilier side like me.

7.\\

Another beauty favorite is a lip product I’ve been loving – actually the whole brand.

I found it at Sephora a while ago, but hadn’t really used the lipsticks I bought until recently. I’m so bad about getting lipsticks and forgetting about them until I finally pull them back out and use them on repeat until they’re empty lol.

But, these Bite Beauty lipsticks are so creamy (a good break every now and then from a matte liquid lip), and they last a pretty long while. And they smell great. And they’re cruelty-free. So, really they’re perfect.

Okay, so that rounds up my current favorites!

Thank you SO much for your patience as I’ve been moving and getting settled.

It’s been such a long process getting this home, and I’ll be honest, pretty stressful, so to have you guys and your kind words and support has truly made it so much easier.

If you’d like to hear more about maybe what to expect when purchasing a home, let me know! It’s definitely a topic I was not informed about, and it it would help any of you, I’d love to talk about it!

All my love!
