Happy Wedding Wednesday!
Special touches are so important, I think, when it comes to making your wedding stand out.
I love seeing unique little extras that are individual to the couple and/or their special day. I actually talked about all the little details that make a big difference in this post, but something else that is inexpensive yet makes an impact is a Snapchat Geofilter specifically made for the wedding.
So, I’ll walk you through where to go to upload your filter, give tips for making your own and showcase one etsy shop that makes really cute ones, if you’re not into the diy-kind-of-thing.
So, first thing’s first, when you have your filter – HERE is where you will go to upload it. You’ll need to just log in with your snapchat, and it will walk you through the steps. You’ll have to pick an amount of time and a specific location. So, you’ll need to know the address of your wedding location and/or reception location.
I went a little overboard and made two for myself and purchased one on etsy.
Here are the two I made for myself using Canva (which I’ll walk you through in just a second):
The first one is just very simple and the little blue car one was special because we actually had a vintage blue car there on our day.
So, to make those, I like the website Canva. I use it a lot for making my blog images, too.
Very important: You want to make sure the size is set to 1080 px x1929 px.
Those are the specific dimensions for the filter upload for Snapchat.
On Canva, you can get as creative as you want with any of the little graphics and text features.
If you aren’t into doing it yourself, you can also get one on etsy.
I found the one below there and just really loved it.
How cute is that?!
The etsy artist personalizes it to your hair colors, hair styles, dress style (look how detailed the lace is!). She was incredibly awesome to work with, and I can’t recommend her enough.
You can get the same filter here.
As always, if there is something specific you have a question about, please feel free to comment on here or direct message me or comment on my instagram.
All my love!
